Somerset County Public Schools is seeking three during-the-school-day tutors to provide additional support in core content classrooms, with a specific focus on Mathematics. Tutors will work with small groups of students directly in the classroom under the guidance of content and ESOL teachers.
Work Schedule & Duration
- Hours: 5 days per week; 7.25-hour workday (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch; 6.75 paid hours/day).
- School-Specific Hours:
- Greenwood Elementary (GES)
: 8:30 AM – 3:45 PM
- Grant Period: This position is guaranteed for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year (approx. 18 weeks) and through the first quarter of the 2026-2027 school year (approx. 9 weeks). The grant period runs through September 30, 2027.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification Screening: High School Diploma/GED
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English required. Fluency in Arabic or Spanish is strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Background Clearance: Must successfully pass a comprehensive background screening, including a fingerprint scan
